In this Attacking & Blocking clinic, the technical points of both skills will be broken down, taught and/or reviewed while touching on game strategies. We will review offensive zones of the court and net so that we can discuss and practice the different types of attacks/shots that can take place in our sport. A solid block against any attack serves as a team's first line of defense. We must learn to defend our court by setting solid blocks and understanding our job and responsibility within our own team's system.
These are two of the most exciting skills in our sport so let's make those little adjustments as hitters and blockers that will make a huge difference in our game! Given the popularity of our specialty training clinics, we have increased each session to our traditional 2-day clinic format for maximizing training from 9-4pm each day. This session is open to all athletes who are entering 6 -12 grades and or rising college freshmen in the Fall of 2024. You will have the opportunity to interact with current college players and coaches while training with us in Tufts University's collegiate gyms. A College Q & A will be conducted by Tufts University head coach, Cora Thompson, and her players at some point during the clinic for those who would like to learn more about playing at the next level.
All campers will eat at Tufts University's outstanding Dewick Dining Hall which offers a variety of healthy all-you-can-eat food and drink options. We hope this exposure will give you a much better idea about what to expect at the next level both on and off the court!
