JVBC Gives

Jumbo Volleyball Clinics were founded with a passion for giving back to a sport and community that does so much for all of us in return. As the scope and reach of JVBC grew, it became quite clear that after 10 years of serving just our volleyball community, there was an opportunity to positively impact even more communities by emphasizing and encouraging the growth of optimistic social consciences. 

Every summer, our clinics draw amazing groups of passionate volleyball players, parents and coaches from all levels of the game. As a result, we do have the unique opportunity to join forces, stand together (sometimes literally) and make positive social impacts locally, nationally, and even globally.  We successfully launched our "JVBC Gives" initiative during the summer of 2019 where the concept was immediately embraced by our players, their parents, and our coaching staff. The incredibly enthusiastic responses we received simply confirmed what we already knew...this was an effort JVBC would be committed to growing for years to come. So, thank you to all of the hardworking players in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 from 27 states and 5 countries who came to train with us and in doing so helped benefit so many amazing foundations supporting important causes. 

Please remember that there are many ways to make a positive impact in this world right now, especially at this time when needs are so great. Monetary donations are just one way to have an impact. All of us can and should be agents of great change simply by reading, conversing, and embracing any educational opportunity that we can find. Thank you to all of our coaches and all of you who are working so hard to make meaningful and sustainable changes within our communities regionally, nationally, and globally. It is making a difference!

 

How it works:

During our Spring Clinic and 7 full-day Summer Clinics, the JVBC Staff & players nominate and ultimately vote on 3 charities they would like to see a portion of JVBC proceeds benefit. At the end of each clinic, the staff & players may do a fun and or creative camp photo that represents their cause of choice that we use to help bring awareness through our social media accounts...primarily Instagram handle @TuftsVolleyball as well as #JVBCGives and #TUVBeTheChange. You can help us spread the word by liking, sharing, or reposting these posts and tagging others. 

During this past summer of 2023, JVBC donated to 42 causes that benefited directly from a portion of our proceeds. Thank you to those who came to train with us and for all of your kind and extremely thoughtful donation ideas.
